Green Food

Well, the “green” Mac and Cheese, made with a little too much garlic pesto, wasn’t a huge hit with the kids. Neither was the Reuben, with sauerkraut. In fact, after Timmy, my six-year-old took a bite, he looked up at me with he big blue eyes and said, “Mom, I don’t like this sauercrap!”

We all cracked up. The kid had thought I was saying sauercrap the whole time.

Half the kids ate the Rubens without the sauerkraut and all of them agreed they would have liked it better without the thousand Island dressing. But then it would have just been a ham and cheese sandwich.

From the day I received my first diary in the second grade, I've had a passion expressing myself through writing. Later as a journalist and novelist, I realized words, if used powerfully, have the ability to touch, stir, and reach from the depths of one soul to another. Today as a writing and health coach, I inspire others to live their extraordinary life and encourage them to share their unique stories.
